So wish we could get some seeds for this little gem. I would love to see it in wildflower gardens. Thanks for the post.!

Thanks for the recommendation. I like the look and size of this one. Looks like Star can possibly do special orders from Monrovia.

Lovely! One of these days a different tree will appear in my yard! Just have not come to grips with elimination of the Mesquite. Before I retire, I'll get an "end of life tree" that I will enjoy. Maybe this one is it. Thanks

So, Norm, what about us small handed people? And "lefties," too? One of my brothers, a resident in Florida for at least 20+ years, and a former landscape service provider there for several years as well, recently sat at my kitchen table. I handed him a pair of left handed Felco 9's. I picked up a pair of Felco right small handed 6's. Within a minute, a smile appeared on his face. He admitted that he had never had the "pleasure" of holding a pair of "leftie" pruners. We spent about a half hour marveling at the feel of the tool in our hands. As important, we discussed being able to approach a "cut" on a shrub or small tree correctly without contorting our shoulders and other various joints. We talked about sanitary AND mechanical maintenance. Both are very important. We journeyed out to my gardens (small, but packed to the brim). It was a cold and windy desert day. We retreated with the pruners. Another day will come. He's back in FL. I will approach my garden with pruners in hand yet another day. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
